Hey all, Can someone tell me how to adjust my ADV gauge on my L/M profile for MPSCAN. By adjust I mean that the gauge reads 58 degrees advance all in when the actual advance if around 40-42. Is there something I can change in the settings?
Thanks

The only substitute for cubic inches is cubic dollars, how fast can you afford to go?
I think Morris needs to help with this.
But when do you see your advance go that high? Only decelerating? Or during normal driving?

Looking at one of Jeff's logs, the adv value is never lower than. 41deg and as high as 58 deg, regardless of map pressure/vac, or tps values which obviously isn't correct.

I'll take a look at it. What am I looking at? IE, what value are you logging?
Just looking real quick, the LM does some stuff with the 'CalculatedSparkAdvance' AFTER it's calculated and before it actually uses the value for ignition.
There's "MXSPK1_MaxSparkAdvanceUknown1" which seems to be a max advance when decelerating, and "MXSPK2_MaxSparkAdvanceUknown2" which I don't know what it's for. Unfortunately, the final advance value seems to be stored in Temp5 before being used. So, there's no way to 'see' the actual final advance value.
Lemme look some more.
Also, I think CalculatedSparkAdvacne is a signed value. Meaning bit 7 is the sign, not an actual value. I don't remember how the gauge is setup to read it in MPScan...
The LM is really tight on memory locations. There's nothing available to use for that...
where is the code exactly that sends the signal out the port to trigger the coil.

Wayne, at the top of rpm and on decel.

Wowzer, do you want me to do That regardless of the info shelgame added?
Hopefully a solution will be found to the benefit of all with this problem.
Thanks to you all for for what you are doing, I don't believe our passion would survive without it.
Jeff
