    Turbo Van Blower fan switch?

    Hey guys,
Several years ago, on a long drive, I had my heat or A/C on, and all of a sudden, I smelled that unmistakable burning electric smell, and my blower fan quit working on the lower speeds. Only HI works.
The other day I was at my local junkyard, and I found an 87 Dodge Caravan, so I pulled the capacitor looking thing that is behind the passenger's side panel at the bottom, near the blower motor. For some reason, the plugs are slightly different. I rigged it to test it, with the same results. Is it possible the switch itself is bad? Should I go back and grab the blower switch from the junkyard?

if it only works on hi.. your failure is going to be found in the blower motor resistor.
really easy to get to and replace..

open the hood. on the firewall near the passenger side shock tower.
is a connector. it just pulls off.

the resistor bolts to the fire wall. should be 2 10mm bolts. or 8mm bolts.

they are cheapy purchased at parts stores. or one of our vendors here on the site.
i think rock auto has them for around 10$.
