Intended use is shoehorning a 3.3 with V6 T850 (hydraulic clutch) into an Aries wagon.

That is one rare transmission! I think the 2.7 Stratus was the one and only vehicle that used it!

It's very rare, but is much more obtainable than everyone would believe. They can be had on car-part or found on Craigslist every once in a while.
I bought a Stratus R/T 5 speed a year ago. I also bought a spare trans that came with a complete k-frame. I read up on EVERY forum posts, articles and parts catalogues for research.
. The Sebring GTC Convertible got it too.
The benefits of the T850 V6 trans is that it that they're often in much better shape than the SRT ones. These trans are behind lesser torque and mature drivers. They also work behind 3.3, 3.8, 3.5, 2.7, 4.0 sohc, and I'm pretty sure the 3.6. The only gear difference is 3.77 instead of 3.55
Only drawback to me is getting around abs speed sensor, splicing axles and maybe mounting.
