Harry, I like the idea of LED but I am unsure as many vendors overdrive the LEDs for light output but it greatly shortens their lifetime. If done correctly, and they last 3-5 years I would be fine.

i have the autopal 200mm in my reliant. i like them. the ricer bulbs that come with them are trash.
i have LED bulbs in them. the low beam is amazing. the high beam is a little too pencilish.
i have some philips xtremevision H4 bulbs that may go in soon.
there are some LED headlight bulbs that use luxeon zes led's that perform pretty well and have good cutoff because the LED die are small and in the same place as the filament in a H4 lamp.
if you get the autopal, see if you can buy extra dust boots and treat them with some kind of rubber protectant. my first pair split real bad. i bought some more from the seller and have them in a ziplock bag.
you also may need to wash the inside of the autopal housing out with dawn dishwash soap before install. it wasnt the cleanest. i was cheap though and decent quality. typical chinese manufacturing. 90% done.
