    Power seat base

I like my power seat and will not give it up, the odds of finding another p body power seat are between slim and none so the question is asked. With parts bin engineering is the seat rails/base the same or close enough from something like a Spirit or Acclaim to bolt in without cutting anything.

I took mine apart today and after cleaning out lots of old nasty grease, wd40 and wire brush the sliding portions to remove the crust and funk. The acme nut for the front tip up-down is totally f-ed up and I know I didnt help anything. The rear one and two forward-aft ones are clean and move freely. All three motors seem really sluggish so they are probably worn out.

    Re: Power seat base

I thought they were all the same. floor might change between the years. maybe.

I just cut the centre floor structure out of a 88 P body for a 88 H body. it was the exact same part.
