    1986 New Yorker ATC information.

I have a 1986 New Yorker. My blower motor is stuck on full high anytime the car is on. I am in the process of troubleshooting this and during my research from what I can tell this system is unique to 1986 and 1987 only. I have started this thread because I have found virtually no information online pertaining to how this works electronically, common issues and fixes.

The way I am reading this schematic is there's the head unit. It talks to the vacuum control box and also sends signals to the blower motor controller.

The head unit on this car has two plugs on the back. I have not taken a photo of that yet but did get photos of the vacuum controller and the blower motor controller.

Here's the pictures I have so far and will post more as I figure out why my blower motor is stuck on high at all times.

Subscribed. I am interested in any possible electronics diagnosis. I have a control unit that is bad, but I didn't see any physical evidence of external failure. I got lucky and found a NOS unit, but still want to try and fix the other unit.

Reaper1, I am in Marysville, WA. Small world isn't it?

What year is the system you are working on? I'm fairly good with component level testing and repair.

Mine is out of an '89. I got NAJ to post up the documents for that over on TD last year I think.

I haven't been able to find out anything more than what is in the FSM's.

I was going to try to use some sources here at work to figure it out, but just haven't gotten around to it because the overall project is more important to me right now.

Having said that, and knowing you are super close, maybe we can hook up and try to figure it out?

    I PM'd you!

My system is from an '89 LeBaron for reference.
