    Re: PT GT/SRT Spindle

There were supposedly differences in the knuckles which did alter the turning radius (and overall steering ratio too from what I can figure). The ones to have area apparently from a manual trans PT cruiser from 04 or 05? I've read a lot of different years on the internet, but never measured different sets. I do have a set off of a manual trans car, so if someone has another set to compare, we could give that a go.

That is correct. Had to get the spindles cut down, but I believe there are before and after pics. There are more steps, but once you have the machined spindle to match the stock one, it's just a matter of matching up the 4 bolt pattern that mates to the axle.

PM me if you have questions.

Just seeking some clarification, if it's available. LOL

Thanks for that link. I'll attempt to check my PN today. If it matches up, great. If not, then we'll know which PN is the one you don't want!

I think I already have one. It's pretty straight forward though. The things you really have to look out for is the larger pinch bolt diameter for the ball joint, and the fact that the later brakes require either grinding the brake hose to fit the caliper, or modifying the new style hoses to fit the bracket on the car.

Ohhhh. I watched that video a long time ago, all you said was "newer style knuckles" I thought you meant like 93 not 2003 lol. So it's almost as simple as bolting them on?

Sorry for the confusion. I did mean the 91+ knuckles for the K based cars. I don't think there's much more to the swap with the PT stuff. The biggest thing with them is the wider attachment point for the strut. I know depending on the body style, guys have had to swap the tie rod ends out.

    Re: PT GT/SRT Spindle

I figured one day when I get the time I can see how hard it would be to put the PT GT knuckles on with an SRT-4 strut or coilover. I figured the tie rod would have to change because the PT and Neon have the worlds worst turn radius.
