Flash module (and other stuff) availability update

As many know and some do not, I bought out Boost Button. While I do not have the experience is decoding, soldering and programming that he does, I have been working with others that do to try and keep all our tuning options available. I do have good experience and results with using the available equipment and programs to tune our cars, as several customers already know.

I wanted to give an update on where we are at on flash modules, socketed computers, chip adapters etc. I have parts enough to build quite a few flashable computers. I also have a local guy from the forum here that has offered his help in teaching me how to solder/desolder and helping build modules and computers.

My main hold up right now is that I've been fighting some kind of health issue for the last couple months, and I haven't been able to get out and go as normal due to pain and lack of energy. I'm basically anemic and having stomach pains. They do not know why yet, but I have some more tests this week and maybe next, hopefully something will be found and I can start working on getting better. I have a couple pills they gave me that are helping but still kind of day to day.

So, I apologize on the delay, especially with the MP SciLink about to be available. I am hoping that within a month I will at least feel better enough to get a batch of modules made up for SMEC and SBEC. I need to order some more parts for chip adapters (for using 27sf512 in SBEC's).

I am doing tunes and burning chips for people still, so if you have a socketed computer already feel free to contact me for custom tuning. I will reply as promptly as possible.

Rob, sorry to hear about the health issues. I hope they get it figured out soon.

I'd like to be the first to stand up and confirm Rob is a great guy to deal with on tunes. He did the tune for my Scamp, and even tweaked it when I had questions, and a little tuning issue. I would definitely work with him on any future tunes I need.

    Agreed.
    And get well buddy.
Without any medical training I'll throw out there look into Lyme Disease. Sometimes tests aren't conclusive and goes undiagnosed. A friend from work was battling something similar for about 2-3 years and finally got it confirmed. They had tested a few times.

If you have all the parts could you sell a kit? Of course we would need a how-to or directions also so that may be just as time consuming. I would be interested in a kit if it was available.

I hope they figure it out soon. I know you didn't get into cals for these cars in order to seek fortune and glory. Take care of yourself. I'm just happy someone was willing to accept the torch and keep it moving forward.

Found out I have colon cancer, gonna have surgery to remove the affected section. Meeting with the surgeon on Tuesday.

In other news, hopefully on Sunday a batch of flash modules will be getting built

Sorry to hear about the cancer but the good news is the medical industry is damn good at treatment these days. I am a cancer survivor since 1999. If you want to chat via PM or phone, let me know.

Good to hear they figured it out. Make sure you choose a reputable surgeon, you don't want to wake up missing part of your colon and a kidney. Maybe check Craigslist?

AFTER the surgery....You may have scar tissue form where the surgery WAS. If you develop a feeling down there after a few months, go back and get checked. It is may nnot a recurrence of the cancer but it can kill you! My sister just died from the scar tissue blocking her colon. She had a second surgery but she was too far gone by that time. It was 2 years of going downhill after that. We just held a memorial service for her on Monday. I'm not trying to scare you. If you are a blockhead like she was, I'm just telling to be smart and safe.
Well, I guess I am trying to scare you IF you are like my sister.
Have somebody stay the night after the surgery. I almost died after I came out of the anesthesia for a broken ankle! Now I know why Michael Jackson liked Propyphol!

Oh man....I am truly sorry to hear this! I hope all goes well! I lost a good friend (and TM person) a few years ago to this. It was/is surreal as he was only a year older than me!
