I have a 1991 harness on my workshop floor and wired up power and ground.
I tested two SBEC and they appears to be fine with my scanner. Several SBEC2 don't appear to communicate
Any suggestions?

IIRC, the inputs are the same, but in different places on the connector. So if you re-located the wires to the correct location, I don't see why it wouldn't work... Just need the pin-outs for each to know where they go... IIRC :-)

I checked several websites such as Russ' and it seem the SBEC and SBEC2 have the same pin location, for example
http://hhscott.com/93tmv/SBEC_Conn.htm Does anyone have the SBEC2 pin connection table from the FSM? I only have 87,88 and 91
I am working on a system I can check projects such as MPSciLink.

I can get you the diagrams from Mitchell, not sure if it'll have a pinout like the jeep fsms do, but it'll have all the ecm wiring on one or two pages.
What year make models, motors do you need? Then I'll look them up and dump them into a PDF onto my goopgle drive and pm you the link.
The big difference is the SBECII has a separate relay for the fuel pump (not ganged with the ASD). It also has 2 'ASD' sense wires instead of 1 (the 2nd 1 is actually a fuel pump relay sense).
That 2nd sense wire cavity is empty on the SBEC harness. It should be as simple as splicing in a 2nd ASD sense wire and you're good to go.
From what I remember, the pinouts and wiring diagrams are not clear on this. But, I ohmed out my SBEC harness when I was trying to run an SBEC on it (opposite of what you're asking, but basically same idea).
Thanks Rob
