I haven't been watching the forum much for awhile.
I'm in. I'll also be looking to use on SBEC. I have seen the previous note about that.
    Thanks for offering this product.

    Re: MPSciLink starting a Group3 Pre-Order

    Update:
So one of the hold-ups we have been trying to work through was a wishlist item being trying to be able to supply the increase power demand for the larger displays from the board connector.
This would eliminate the need on larger displays to use a seperate 5v power cord and the usb adapter.
The additional DC-DC would increase the cost for the device though by around $4.

This additional component isn't necessary with the 3.5" displays. So we could make this optional.

    What do you guys think?

+1 on the Do It! $4 is nowhere near a showstopper in my book and worth it for simplicity!

IMO it should be standard and not an option to simplify things for you.

if its the same DC-DC converter that makes the 20v for flashing, i think im going to swap one into my current MPSciLink to get rid of the cigarette lighter plug as i have these boards laying around for other projects.

Brian, the two DC-DC are different. The DC-DC used for flashing boosts the voltage from 12V to 21V. The DC-DC that we are considering for the screen is a 12V to 5V "buck" DC-DC. One of the senior EE at works loves model so much that he gave me as a sample for evaluation. It is a modern direct pin to pin replacement for the old 7805. I am planning to evaluate after lunch today

    Re: MPSciLink starting a Group3 Pre-Order

For anyone thinking of using their device with a tablet, there are some good cheap ones out there.
    I almost bought this one:
ASUS ZenPad 8 Dark Gray 8-inch Android Tablet [Z380M] 2MP Front/5MP Rear PixelMaster Camera, WXGA TouchScreen, 16GB Onboard Storage, Quad-Core 1.3GHz Processor, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FGCXUDU..._49UcBbJ9AVFD2

It is on price drop right now, and if you add to your wishlist you may see a coupon for $20 off at checkout.

I almost bought this one several times, but opted for a Samsung for better camera for multi use.
