If you find one with a 6-groove pulley, the pulleys can be swapped.

When I wanted to put a Denso alternator in my Omni, I went to the auto parts store, looked up the correct year and bought it, paying the core charge also. A week later I put the Mopar alternator in the box and returned it to the auto parts store to collect my core charge. They never even looked in the box.

If you don't mind modifying the wiring harness, you can use a Nipendenso out of a late 90s to early 2000s Camry. Same size and framework and has a built-in voltage regulator. Something to think about if you don't mind modifying the wiring a tad. Really, you would just need to terminate the field wires differently. The main wire to the battery and the ground bolt right up the same.

    That's great info!

I don't have an alternator available, but if it comes down to it I do have a pulley on the shelf.

Basically any FWD Dodge from 88 to 94 has the right alternator, just make sure its externally regulated. I have throttle body's and alternators if you are still searching.

Why does it have to be externally regulated? Mine is working fine with a built-in unit.

Because if you hook up the wrong one to the factory computer, BOOM!

If you choose to go your route, then that's ok, just know what you have, so that's really the point of the story,
