    New wheels for the mini

I took the front wheel off of my mini today to measure the specs for a new wheel. My van is a '90 Voyager. The front still has the original 5x100mm set-up, but does have new wheel bearings. It looks like a 15x8 Weld will fit with a 4" backspacing. Then I will use a 26 x 8.0 slick. Any reason this won't work?

I also need help with suspension. I want new struts/springs in the front and could use recommendations.

I can tell you that this is an 8" wide wheel with a +35mm offset and that works out to 5.88" backspace. I think 4" is going to stick out of the fenders quite a bit, but i dont know if that bothers you.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

I can't see the image, Vigo, but I want to see how much it sticks out. I don't mind if it sticks out quite a bit as this is only for the track. Can you post the pic somehow?
I thought about doing more backspacing, but didn't know how much he tire would bulge.

I don't know if this helps but IIRC its a 35mm offset with a 7.5" wheel. Your tire is really tall though. This is a 24.5" x 9.5" tire.

Johnny has done a pretty cool adjustable coil over setup if you search the forum. Personally I'm a fan of the Taurus spring if you are looking for an easy drop in high rate.

    17x8 Kosei K6r 35mm offset. 225/50/17 Firestone Firehawk.
these came from a BRZ/FRS . although it looks like FWD VW and older impreza WRX wheels fit nice too.
