What from what equals your acutal timing at a given rpm

I have noticed that in "advance from warm full" a point on the curve might read X:10.434 (psi) Y:-10.29 (degree's). This negative degree number indicates that it is affecting another number somewhere. What number in what section of normal spark does that negative number relate to and can I subtract the negative number from that one to arrive at the actual timing at that point on the curve?
