I looked at the tires when I went out today, they're 225/50's. And yeah they rub if I turn the steering wheel too much, so I just don't turn it that far.

And they have gotten much much worse since then. Our state legislature argued about how to pay for road repairs for over 2 years, and finally started the actual work well over a year ago.

To Force Fed Mopar, I used to think my Daytona was a little harsh at times. But I have always enjoyed long trips in it, a very comfortable car on the highway. It is reasonable around town. My Spirit on the other hand, can ride nice, but only on a perfectly smooth road surface. But when I can watch my belly bounce up and down as I drive down the local roads, yeah, that's a rough ride. I've gotten used to it some, but it is still fairly harsh. The Spirit is my summer car, I'll be glad when I switch over to the Daytona for the winter.

Going to 225/50 15's made the ride better. And when we added a rear shock tower brace the ride got a whole hell of a lot better. You could actually feel the suspension compressing instead of the body moving and throwing the rear seat passengers against the roof. So the stiffer the body the stiffer the springs/shocks you can run. The laser weighed 2600ish lbs.
Darn...I keep forgetting I had a strut tower brace and a rear shock tower brace, and yes, they make a HUGE difference in how the car rides/handles. Good point!
