    LM baud rate settings.

Hey all, I am trying to log the serial
afr data coming from the blue wire on my AEM/AFR gauge. I ran a chassis ground wire and the blue wire from the gauge to a 9 pin d-sub female plug. I plugged that into a serial to usb adapter. I then downloaded a trial version of hyper terminal from the Greaves Co. online. So the hyper terminal cursor shows up but no data comes through. When turning on the hyper terminal app a popup screen asks if you want to configure the baud settings. I can't find them anyplace but they exist. Can anyone give me this info?

Well it sounds to me that you are trying to capture data from your AEM guage, correct?

Then why are you questioning the baud rate for a LM? Seems to me that the LM isn't any part of the loop.

Also, the gauge most likely doesn't output a data stream, but probably just an analog representation of the voltage level it is seeing/monitoring.

If this is the case, you would not be able to read or interpret the data with a terminal emulator program.

The user manual for the AEM, should tell you what the blue wire on the gauge does, and how or what it is intended to connect to.

Do they list an AEM tech support website or phone #?

If you are referring to the LM logging remember it is inverted logic so you should use a 7404 to invert the signal.
The LM is by default in low speed at 976 baud and can be switched to 7815 high speed by two 00h followed by two 12h.
