A muffler that fits and lasts !

I regret ever removing the OEM exhaust from the Shadow, whatever it was it sure as hell lasted alot longer than the garbage sold as a replacement.

    The requirements are

    nothing stupidly loud.
    full stainless
fitment for a P body. absolutely no hacking the car whatsoever

The Magnaflow 12634 is near perfect for your application. The overall length of the muffler is 1/2" longer than stock. The only other difference is that it has a 2" inlet compared to the factory 1-7/8" inlet. An adapter, which exists, is needed for it to be a bolt on application. And its stainless.

My vote is always for Dynomax UltraFlo.
You didn't specify size, but look at the 6" round muffler. They have a shorter one and a longer one. I have the short one on my PT, and the normal length on Mini and my Spirit.

I've always used Dynomax Ultraflo mufflers on my cars. I've never had a problem and the one on my Lancer hasn't rusted at all. It's been on there for at least 15 years. I don't even think it's stainless.

I'm high and dry here in Wyoming though..

Somehow I didn't catch that one when I looked. but thank you that does look very promising.

Salt doesn't help but these things rot from the inside out. Other than the hole at the bottom the rest of the present muffler looks ok. Its a walker 17741
