    Alot, and not as much...

Curious myself, I've had to lift a non-sprung hatch and would guess it to be close to, if not more than 100lb, a big part of that would be the glass, exactly how much, I dunno, but maybe 30-40%?

Been awhile since I did that, and maybe I just didn't eat my Wheaties that day, but it seemed like a great place to loose some significant weight!

I'm debating on whether to just change out the glass to Lexan, or change the the whole hatch/glass to a pin on fiberglass unit. Fiberglass hatch only weighs 8 lbs.. It would look much neater to just change out the glass....more factory look. But if the hatch weighs 40 lbs....I would be tempted to change it out both...

I think you are pretty close. If you compare the curb weights of the Rampage/Scamp(2246), and Charger(2350), you get 104 lb. I have to assume most of that is rear glass...

If that's the case then I would go fiberglass and lexan. when I did that in my 86 Daytona, it ended up saving me around 72 pounds. the old hatch, struts, brackets, Etc was 85 lbs. the new fiberglass hatch was 5 lbs, lexan was 5 lbs, brackets and screws for another 3 lbs, totaling 13lbs.
