I just had my 555 converted to a hybrid, rebuild + parts to convert to hybrid was well over $1000. This is a great deal for anyone looking.

The first time I bought a transmission, the seller built a wooden crate for it that worked very nicely. I don't recall the seller or the price; that was clear back in the TOML days. This thread has a lot of options, although it's also pretty dated so I expect the prices will have escalated some. http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...g+transmission

Tom, if you're willing to explore these options and give me a quote to 68358, let me know. I'd want the cables with it as well.

i dont have time to explore much anything. last easy way i was told was to get a tupperware tote, 2x4s and strapping and ship it UPS ground. i work 6 days a week, usually that is a sunday that i'm off. other than pallet shipping it. freight on a tractor trailer, i have done that also. this is priced the way it is and for sale as local pickup because of it being a hassle to ship for the most part

if they are open sundays and pickup the trans from my house that would be great. do they pack it too? cause i don't honestly have any time to mess around, i literally work, sleep, answer firecalls and repeat.

If you pay them enough, they'll come get it. But so will UPS, Fedex, hell, make that transmission free I guarantee it will be gone in a day.

I've shipped motor blocks, heads, and transmissions using heavy duty plastic totes aka tupperware. Only thing is that the fluid has to be drained or mostly drained and then thick plastic bag tied or zip tied shut. Also if using UPS or FEDEX ground you will have to make sure it wont shift around in the tote so you will have to "pack it." Go Greyhound and you dont have to pack quite as much. Just thought I would put the info out there.

I will be in that area today and can probably have room for it if someone along my route home is interested.
