    89 woody van

Picked this up from Johnny a few weeks ago.

    http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...-Voyager-turbo

My first van, and currently my only 8V TD. (Spirit R/T and IROC R/t)

Photos and such coming soon! (Stupid photobucket now charges for 3rd party hosting... anyone have a suggestion for getting pics into this thread for free?)

Thanks Wayne, I've wanted a woody van for quite a while now and this one seemed too good to pass up.

Hmmm, I'll have to look into that. I've never hosted from the site... thanks for the heads up!

Ok, I'll try this again... this time with a different photo hosting site.

Aha! It seems to work now! Well, here she is in all of her Wisconsin country road glory. Johnny was super cool and delivered it to LaSalle Illinois where I picked it up with a buddy. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to chat with Johnny and his buddy. My ride down was super antsy to get back to Green Bay (and he didn't really appreciate the old van like I do... haha), but Johnny threw a few extra parts in the back, and I was on my way back to GB.

Aside from not having either low beam headlights (these old trucks aren't very bright on "hi beams" anyway), the 4 hour ride back went smoothly!

I did loose one of these center caps on the way though... anyone know where I can get another one?

    Re: 89 woody van

Now the fun begins... going through everything and fixing a few things that need attention. Overall, the van is in really nice condition, but there's always a few things that need attention in a 28 year old vehicle.

1st on the "to do" list (after new headlight bulbs)... the passenger power window did not work. Since I could hear the motor moving in there, I ordered a window tape from Rock Auto and my dad and I put in in. Now it works perfectly... for our first time doing one of these, it went pretty well once we figured out that we had to trim the tape... haha It scared the crap out of me the first time we tested it and it ran into itself and broke off. After looking at it though, nothing bad happened, we just needed to trim it a bit.

Then the plates came in... I found this when I took off the rear plate (that appears to have been on there since new?)

Up next, fix the driver door hinge, install a new(er) radio/speakers (just something listenable and with usb compatibility), shocks and struts, fix the headliner (anyone have any nice maroon sun visors that they would sell?) and find a few parts that are missing.

I'm not sure what goes here, but I'm looking for one-

And I need a passenger side door handle trim like this-

Believe it or not, what's missing there is the rear ashtray!
    But who smokes nowadays?!

Haha, true but I'd still like to have something there other than a big hole.

MaryBeth took it at MeanMini's first ever SDAC, at #25.
I should try to figure out how to turn all of those images into a .gif
