    VNT T-SBEC issues

I have a 90 Daytona VNT car I'm trying to tune, but none of the T-SBEC cals seem to run it. Tried the A415 Daytona VNT code, and tried the A577 code (non-vnt). Neither primes the pump or runs the car. I would think bad computer, except that it had a FWD-P chip originally that will run the engine just fine. Thought maybe I had a bad chip, but I tried 3 different chips also.

Anybody else ever run into this, or something similar?

i dont think T-SBEC has the bugs worked out as solidly as T-SMEC or T-LM.

Well I also found out that the 27sf512 chips may not work without a latch board. Not sure how to tell if it has one though.

This, yes. The 27SF512 won't work without the latch board. It should be obvious if a latch board is installed.

Like Rob said, it should be obvious if it has a latch board. That looks like a 28 pin socket which means you need a 87c257chip or a latch board with a 27sf512 chip.

    Re: VNT T-SBEC issues

Is there a direct replacement for the 87c256 that doesn't require UV erasing? Found refernces to the 28c and 29c but seems they need a jumper wire on the socket also due to different pinouts. Same issue as the 27sf512 I'm assuming?

From my investigation, there is no chip for the SBEC that is electronically erasable. That's why I'm waiting on you for a Boostbutton computer
