New England Dragway Rental and Racing results

Wanted to post this up. On Wednesdays they offer track rental for $125. This price covers driver and 2 crew. You can put your name on their list and as long as a total of 8 cars sign up you get full run of the track from 11am to 5pm, with racing starting at 1pm. You can sign up anytime M-F 9-5. The tech crew even comes to you. I just did this yesterday and it was fantastic. no lines, no hurrying to make runs, and the track is prepped perfectly.

On a side note, the tech's can be very picky. They check every car to NHRA standards. They were not going to let me race because I have wires going into/thru the factory bulkhead in the firewall. I said where the hell are the wires supposed to go? They also wanted to know where my driveshaft loop was? I had to explain that FWD cars do not need them. Also you must have a neutral safety switch. All your safety equipment has to be up to date as well. They will check everything.

Ugh, neutral safety switch.... my car didn't come with one from the factory.

Sounds like a good deal though. How many cars showed up that day?

Yeah my automatic had one but I had to go through a relay in order to wire it in properly, , took me forever because I do not like electronics and didn't realize that the neutral safety switch on the automatic is a ground switch only.
