What size are you going to bore it out to? That's the real question. I went to the gasket. I would think that something 1/8 to 1/4 inch smaller would be good to try going off of my memory. I didn't write down my thoughts regarding the next attempt though.

You'll need to do your best to make a nice round set of holes, measure, and then pick the appropriate size ball hone for your application.

I am beginning to wonder if the manifold I was given along with the fuel rail and adjustable FPR had already been ported, all the ports were even and when I used the top to make a gasket that exactly matched the ports, when I placed on the bottom it was a perfect match to the ports there. The gentleman who gave it to me along with the other pieces also gave me a socketed 1987 Daytona LM and a chip for it. It ran 14 psi and was quite strong.

There is a very substantial difference between the gasket that separates the two halves and the ports in a stock two piece intake.

That was why I made my own gasket, the one in the manifold kit was much bigger than the ports. I was commenting on the fact that when I used the top section to make the gasket, and laid it on the lower section all 4 holes matched.

    Re: Two Piece Porting

I imagine that the OEM gasket has oversized holes to ensure that no gasket ever blocked any part of the flow. The 60 thou gap between top and bottom halves that results is of no real consequence

    Re: Two Piece Porting

Does anyone have any phenolic spacers for the 2-piece?
And how thick of a spacer can I go?
    I have an 89 Daytona.
    Thanks

Hmmm... This might be another good project for me. I think AJ posted about some spacers in a thread a while back. The ones he had made looked super nice.
