    MPTune questions

    Hello all.
    1. Is .asm automatically loaded with .tbl when you compile a cal?
    2. How do I change the ignition timing at any given rpm in mptune? The wiki isn't clear to me.
The only substitute for cubic inches is cubic dollars, how fast can you afford to go?

    Re: MPTune questions

The .asm as I understand needs to be in the same folder, it is not loaded, but used as a reference when you compile the Cal.

Ignition timing is similar to the fuel it has a curves AdvanceFromMAPWarmFull, and AdvanceFromMAPWarmPart. That allow you to adjust timing for given boost levels.
Then AdvanceFromRPM2 is where you adjust for given RPM, and I believe the wiki, and the forums have places that show how the different curves combine for total timing. Some clas also have Calculated tables used solely to show you the end result of the timing in your cal

    Re: MPTune questions

the location of the .asm file is stored in the .tpl file when you compile. if there is no .asm file initially defined in the .tpl file or it cannot be found, mptune will prompt you for the location of the asm. when you compile you are creating a .bin file. the .tbl file is not used for anything. you should typically keep the .asm and .tpl files in the same directory.
