    Re: First one?

That's the one, I dragged it outta the garage a couple months ago and changed fluids after a 3 year slumber. From 4500-6500 its amazing. Kinda sux to have to drive it in that range to extract power tho. Wrong turbo choice for sure.

Wasn't exactly a record turnout but the meeting had good energy til midnight

^ The Law generally rolls thu and scopes us out when we're poking under hoods at 11pm. Couple times they've stopped and talked to us, they were like, 'you guys are into what?'

BTW that's a nicely upgraded auto Shelby Lancer that Michael has had for 10+ years. Told me last night he has a storage issue now and it's sitting outside getting sunbaked. $2500. fly in drive it home... PM me for his digits.

Wow kinda the rag tag crowd out tonight. More of the people I fit in with car wise. When I was there in 06 the Omni's were so nice on the outside I felt kinda embarassed about my ShelbyZ even though the paint was ok.

That the SL that was on CL a while back? Maybe still is?

Come on AJ, send him a link to the post where you detailed the construction of the IC. It looked like really nice work and I'm quite jealous of your ability to fab that up.

Lol, you drag racers... See now if I had said it was the World's QUICKEST TC, that would indicate that I have taken it to the drags and had a timeslip to back that up. It's never been down the 1320. Because of the 523 trans and the oversize tires, I believe it has the lower numerical gear ratio to go FASTER than any TC I've ever met(I've been to about 6 TC Masi National conventions) and enough power to pull to the rev limiter in 5th. Ive never hit the cutout in 5th but have seen 6200-6300 in 5th a couple times. I talked with a buncha TC owners over the years and hadn't found another guy foolish enough to try that It's surprisingly stable at those speeds probably because the Shelby Daytona springs, rear swaybar, panhard etc

    Re: First one?

SoCal guys should plan a day at El Mirage . . . . and then let all the Midwest/Eastern guys try to find a venue to match us.
    John Laing

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
    -- Alexis de Tocqueville

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
    --Ayn Rand

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
    -- Justice Antonin Scalia

Do you do that with the hard top or the soft top (up or down)? Hmm....you might be right as I have nowhere here I can stretch out to top speed, really. I've had this one to 100mph once. That was with the top down. It wasn't too bad. I've got the S10 front air dam on it, so it was defiantly stable.

When I do get the 16V engine in it I'm keeping the Getrag tranny for now, so I'm curious as to what she'll do. I am intending to have a raised rev limit in my cal (matching hardware to support of course), so that could be interesting...
