Just rebuilt. Back in car and attaching pan but looks like some part of shift linkage is preventing pan from going on. Any help much appreciated.

If it the kick down lever piece that's dropped down? If you forgot the retaining clip for that it can drop down toward the pan.
Its part of the shift linkage that moves back and forth when shifting. I have a pic but not sure how to upload.
Parking rod? Make sure it's inserted from the top of the "rooster tail". the clip should be visible looking up from under the car. The other end goes under a small "U" shaped steel bracket which is bolted into the case with two bolts. It could be in upside down.
its the other end of the parking rod. the boot shaped "acuator" i guess near the 2 lines from valve body.

Just posted video
Did you drop the valve body? Looks like you did because now the governor tubes are preventing that lever (is the "park" lever/pawl) from going back to where it belongs. Drop the valve body a little to get that back in. Then the long rod that's connected to the shifter goes between a bracket and the case and then pushes that lever up into a toothed gear on the base of the governor. I'm not at my shop otherwise I'd ask for your email address and could send you pictures with what you need to do. It's hard just describing what you need to do. If you can't figure it out by Monday, message me and I can walk you through it with pictures.
Thanks for the reply. I think i might have it. Just buttoned up the pan.
Well if you put it in park and it continues to roll you'll know if you got it or not.
I've built so many of these transmissions I can do them in my sleep. In the begging I made the same mistakes. Took a little while to learn what goes where and in what order.
