I've seen a few noisy water pumps, no bad bearings, just a rubbery squeaky noise. Bleeder on thermostat leaks sometimes and you'll get the coolant crusty buildup. Thedon mentioned the roller rockers. It seems to be a mixed bag on those, they give lots of warning before causing serious damage though (valve tick). Just had 2 recently that had spark plugs so bad that the incomplete combustion burnt the exhaust valves. Spark plugs don't seem to make it to 100k like they say they should.

    I appreciate the up date.

Were the one with bad plugs misfiring before burning the valves??

    Thanks

There is no logical reason to call an Engine a motor.

I personally have not seen an issue with plugs. I got out of the dealer 8 months ago though. My mom's 2011 challenger 3.6 has almost 80k with 0 issues so far.

We see it mainly on the vans and promasters, especially on the promasters. I think it's the idle time and heavy load that does it. Iv'e pulled 80k plugs that had over .100 gap from wear.
