It's an accufab fpr. Upon thinking about it, if the diaphragm were damaged it wouldn't adjust like it does. Also it would probably leak fuel out of the adjusting screw .

The only substitute for cubic inches is cubic dollars, how fast can you afford to go?

Ok, then perform the procedure Cordes described, and set to 55psi with the hose off.
Once set, it should be around the value we mentioned at idle.
From what you described, it sounds like you set it with the hose on and car at idle. That would result in your observed readings.

Good stuff and Wayne is right. Adjust the Accufab without vacuum to 55 and test. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the testing and resolution.

So, this morning before work I checked this thing out again. Here are the results!
With the hose off and the tap plugged, the mechanical gauge reads 55 psi.
With the hose on the mechanical gauge reads 46.5 psi.
With the hose off and the tap plugged the cabin gauge reads 60 psi.
With the hose on the cabin gauge reads 56.5 psi.
Conclusion is the cabin gauge is a POS. and it looks as though i would need a gauge reading of 70+ psi at 10 pounds of boost.

Sounds like we got to the root cause. Faulty or inaccurate electric gauge.
Glad you got to the bottom of it. Bad instruments can really mess you up by making you think you have problems.
I use a SpeedHut electronic fuel pressure gauge, one of their Revolution Digital gauges. The pressure transducer looks higher quality than I've seen with some other gauge kits.

I have heard that Glow Shift gauges are cheap POS's. Get a quality name brand gauge.
