Is a Dart SRT gonna happen?
Is a Dart SRT gonna happen?
The dart is dead. They aren't making it anymore.
Who knows. Maybe a joint production with another manufacturer. Maybe they bring over the fiat tipo and rebadge as a Dodge. They already sell it in Mexico as the Dodge neon. Good looking car too and it's an actual small car unlike the dart that was big and heavy.
Dodge needs to come out with an SRT4 something...
Don't expect any small fun sadans till around 2022, probably rwd.
They had been looking at bring the dodge neon from Mexico http://www.dodge.com.mx/cotiza/?mode...FQwXgQodnUwGxA but trade issues may have killed it.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is!
1.4t. If they kept it around or under 2700lbs it would work great in it. As well as use a manual or regular automatic. No dual clutch. I've driven a 500 abarth manual and 124 spider automatic. Both ran pretty good. Dart made that engine look bad.
I wish Dodge would offer an interesting 4cyl. vehicle! My wife is in need of one soon! Her 2004 SRT-4 has over 200K on it! It's been a great car!
The new turbo hurricane engines are supposedly coming out soon.
the hopped up ford focus should cover the base until mopar comes out with something
yeah yeah I know I said ford .. put a dollar in the swear jar ...

at least I didn't say Garage Man's Companion
I actually think the little turbo Chevy spark is a good looking little hatch.
You won't hear any complaints from me about Ford. My wife's Mazda3 has been a great little car, and that's got FoMoCo stamped all over it.
You mean the Sonic? Not bad looking. It's strange that the 1.4T and the 1.8 N/A are the same peak horsepower. I'd love to know what the differences in driving dynamics are.

Yeah Sonic that's the one.
Fixed for you.

No point in making cars that nobody is buying. Technically you can still get the journey with a 2.4l.
I probably would have bought a Dodge Dart SRT if they had ever made one. Nowadays Dodge wants to make halo cars, squeeze out any and all possible iterations of the aging Challenger, and pedestrian yawn machines.
If I were in the market for a new sporty small car, I'd be looking at the Focus ST and drooling over the Focus RS.
