    87 555 Crossover Cable (L-Body)

    Good Afternoon,

coming home from the track on Saturday, i lost 1st, 2nd and 5th gears, found that the crossover cable popped off. It appears that the ball and socket have loosened. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I've searched here and an TD.com, found the pushpull.com option, but is there anything else?

I currently have a zip-tie holding it together, but looking for better, more permanent solution.

    Thanks,

I had mine zip tied in my black Omni for years. It never popped off again. I just had to make sure I had four of them for the method in which I attached it. A new cable would technically be better to some, but from the viewpoint of this pragmatists I don't really believe that's the case.
