    Electrical gremlins w/ '89 GTC

Electrical issues with my ’89 GTC coupe.

Intermittently, no turn signals but all brake lights work - as long as turn signals aren’t turned on.
When turn signal is set to left or right, only the brake light for the side signal light is set to
will light (but still no turn signal).

Recommendations for where to look? Inside steering column? under dash, left side kick panel,
    grounds or ??????

I have factory manuals (mechanical & electrical) and preliminary check shows nothing loose or
    unplugged.

TIA for any thoughts or suggestions.

If it's just the rear lighting being a problem the first thing I would do is check the bulb sockets as the ground in them tends to go bad. They'll let some current flow like your describing, but not a ton. I've had dim bulbs, bulbs that wouldn't light, mystery outages, etc. etc. due to those stupid things.

Yeah I had a Charger that did something similar, had to take the wires out of the socket housing and clean the terminals. The ground terminal in the housing was the issue, cleaned it and bent the tang a little to make a tighter connection.

    Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

Turns out it was a bad signal light flasher.

Had a P body that had tail light issues, grounded each socket with its own ground to the body, after that they worked super good, way brighter, flashed faster and not super slow like you see on alot of old cars.
    Glad you figured it out
