Try lifting up on the clutch pedal as far as you can to reset the adjuster.

My personal experience is this. I found normal clutch engagement is usually half way point on the pedal. When the clutch engages right off the floor that is bad.

This just happened to my clutch last saturday. Something must have gotten stuck in the fingers of my pressure plate. The pedal was vibrating. Engagement was right off the floor. The pedal was really soft and spongee. Yesterday, whatever was stuck in the pressure plate fell out. My clutch pedal return to normal.

The clutch wasn't slipping under 20lbs. But I turned the boost down to 5lbs to make sure the clutch would last me.

The last time I experienced this problem was over 6yrs ago. That time, part of the clutch disc was holding half the fingers of the diaphram down.

I didn't waste anytime in ordering a clutch. Which arrived today. Replacement to happen shortly.

It's a brand new clutch, it maybe has 2 miles on it. it's not slipping any, i just thought that it was catching a little too low.
I'll go out and pull up on the pedal and let y'all know how it went

after I broke my new clutch in it started grabbing about 1" from the floor, and it was fully engaged at the last inch of travel. while it was still new-ish it grabbed later and was fully engaged 1/4 of the way up. I kind of liked it when it was fully engaged earlier.

My omni hits about 2 inches from the top of the pedal so I only push it in about 4 inches to shift. My lebaron has to be slammed to the floor to disengage and I think the tolerances are off because I have about 2 inches of play (to be expected with the PP I have) and the whole time the back of my pedal is touching the carpet, pushing it down more or less.

Mine starts to grab about 1/4 the way up and is fully engaged at about 3/4 out. It took some time to get used to.

Just FYI, if you replace your clutch cable or clutch cable bracket (on the strut tower) and they aren't the correct one, you'll get really weird clutch action. Mine started engaging like 1 inch from the floor, and wasn't even enough to pull it out of gear with the pedal all the way down.

Not saying this is your problem, just a FYI.

it really isn't an issue, just more out of curiosity than anything.
as far as weird stuff, this is about as much of a mutt as it could be.
