    Wintergreen oil to renew hardened rubber parts

    Just a heads up post, some guys in the honda sohc forum report success with using wintergreen oil on old hardened rubber parts. Methods vary from dilution in alcohol or xylene, to putting parts in boiling water with the oil.

    Its an expensive oil, but for NLA parts may be worth while.

    Ordered fifty bucks worth, will do some trials and report back.

    I used to keep an old rubber in my wallet...

    I'm neutered now, chics I date are stoked that we don't need mechanical prophylaxis to prevent little AJ's. A little risky but so is getting behind the wheel of a car every day...
