    Manual heater control valve

When I was at Carlisle last year, I saw a pickup that had what looked like a nice, all-metal heater control valve that also appeared to be manually-operated. I can't find one anywhere and I couldn't find the owner of the truck at the time. Has anybody ever heard of/seen something like that? I'd like to have something like that so I could just bypass the core for most of the season.

lots of variations out there for this as most cars at one time used slide controls for the heat and a/c

so .. it wasn't hard for one of the slide controls to work a cable that ran through the firewall instead of just to the heater box

a 75 cordoba would have the cable opp one as would many cars with a/c from back in the day .. probably most in fact
