JT, sometimes i feel these reminders are just for me!
So, i finally reserved a room, but they had no doubles left in the block. Hopefully they can release one of the regular double rooms so my brother and i will each have beds....
Since i'm older, i'd hate to see him have to sleep on the floor!

    Re: Official SDAC-27 Discussion Thread

    Hi All—

I have a question regarding the road course event atWaterford Hills. One of the requirementsfor the safety inspection mentioned in the SDAC 27 FAQ was that “snap-on centercaps or wheel covers must be removed”.

As this is my first time participating in an event likethis, what about the little center caps on my ’86 GLHS’s Centurion 1wheels? Is that what the rule isreferring to, or like, full-size hubcaps?

    Thanks in advance!

    David

Those should be fine, full hubcaps or larger ones like on a Shelby Lancer or Dakota should be removed.

And anything that would prevent access to the lug nuts.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I was asking because they are far easier totap out from the back of the wheel before mounting, and I just didn’t want tohave to pry them out from the front last-minute at the event.

This back engine just won't stay cool enough on the hyway. I'm out, as much as I'd love to go. I've been at this crap for the past 3 weeks and just can't get enough airflow without cutting up the body. Sorry. I was looking forward to the AWD class hahahha

Why not just drive with the front engine on the hwy and use the back one for the drag strip?

So I just noticed SDAC is technically only until Tuesday this year unless there is a rain out for the drags. Are people staying Wed too or are most leaving? I had my flight home booked for Thursday but don't feel like paying another room night to sit in the lounge by myself. I debating paying to move my ticket to Wed or not.

because the movement of the ring gear "paddles " out the trans fluid and hurts the rear diff. It needs to be running to replenish the diff area.

I'm pretty sure we're staying. Even if we're not, we can set you up with a place to crash that's local. We have peeps.

My plan is to stay through Weds. If racing ends up being Weds, its going to be a long day if we have to drive back 12 hours after racing all day.
Hopefully we don't get rained out...

I only secured the hotel through weds.
