    Oxygen Sensor compatability

Going SBEC and 4 wire O2 sensor on the CSX. Normally I would just buy the right one listed for the 89-95 cars and call it done. NTK 23023 for 2.2

But the problem of obsolescence and not being able to get the matching harness half of the connector shell is a slight stumbling point.

I would rather buy something newer and have the ability to have a matching plug shell TE 184246-1 and have an off the shelf readily available part. NTK 23159 for SRT-4 With the added bonus it is slightly less cost

Other than the connector plug and possibly wire length are those two sensors even different in function and output signal ? I cant see chrysler reinventing the wheel on something like that but who knows.

    Re: Oxygen Sensor compatability

I run the Dakota 4 wire o2 sensors. Plenty of availability even from Ma Mopar (the only place I buy O2 sensors).

    Re: Oxygen Sensor compatability

I should better state the question, I would like to move to the newer oxygen sensor so I can get the matching connector brand new and not have to reuse the old crusty connector plug on an otherwise brand new harness. The 4 wire NTK for the old stuff is readily available, its the connector plug that is obsolete as far as ordering the harness half of the connector shell.

    Re: Oxygen Sensor compatability

Well the hell with it. I found a less crusty connector plug and made an adapter jumper so I can use either one when the time comes.
