    Any way to id ring and pinion

    I have 3-4 transmissions in the shed (some in pieces) any way i can try to id some of them i know at least one trans is out of a masi and i think those has low gearing

    I want to take an inventory of what i have so i can get what i dont have and will need lol


    or is it the old count the teeth deal

    Counting the teeth will provide the ratio.

    Lay the R&P out and take a clean sharp picture of each set, more preferred on the pinion shaft as that is more useful in identifying and post them up. There are a lot of variations that it is much easier to identify that way than describe them all.
