    WTB: 1.05 Transfer Gear set

Thinking about experimenting with a different transfer gear set in Mini.
Interested in a low mileage/low wear set if possible since this will see some serious race use.
    Thank you.

You had some consistency issues last trip to the track Bro, work that ish out before you dig into the hard parts to reinvent the wheel. Your combination is sound, stay with it and get some track time, spring is around the corner, Heck I planted 75 tomato and pepper plants last weekend-it better turn warm and sunny or I'm out $200. and so many hours of labor. Stay the course

While I don't doubt I will be able to improve my personal best with the setup virtually unchanged, i am planning the next step so i figured I would collect the gears to be ready.
I think it was fairly consistent last time out, except for my first run without a vacuum line connected!

    12.108 @ 109.01 (23.5 psi)
    12.002 @ 111.03 (23.9 psi)
    12.037 @ 109.38 (24.1 psi)

It wasn't like the other week when I ran 5 runs all in the 11's, but it was also 75F and into a headwind the last time out, (not to mention nearly a full tank of fuel).

In any case, my A413 is not the ideal dragracing combo, since I spec'd it for mostly daily driving. I have .91 transfer gears, and a overall final drive of 2.60! no one else is racing a van with such a high gear ratio. I'm going through the traps at about 5200-5300 rpm in 3rd.
So, AJ.... do you have a nice set you'll let go? I need to contact another member who might have some squirreled away...

Re: WTB: 1.05 Transfer Gear set

Isn't the 1.05/1.06 transfer set the most common? If so, that should be relatively easy to locate. 2.60:1 final drive also means you have the 2.86:1 ring and pinion and not the 3.05:1 that most turbo cars received. Yeah that is an awfully tall gear selection for a 1/4 miler. Dual purpose drag van & salt flat racer (lol).

    Yes Todd, 2.86:1
It is great on the highway, as 3000rpm is 70mph. But this is probably leaving too much on the table as far as dragracing. So i wanted to see how it changes my 1/4 mile ET. I still haven't been on the dyno yet, but i suspect I'm not utilizing much powerband in 3rd gear before i go through the traps.

I think it may be the more common gears, but didn't want to how to scour locally for a good set, if someone has some known on a shelf. Just trying to use time efficiently.

Also is there any difference strength wise between any of the applications?
