I might have to plan on this next winter.

It's hit and miss every winter, but there is almost always some days in January i am outside in shorts.
It's going to be in the 20's tonight for a low, but still talking about nearly 80 for Sunday.

Well our predicted snow total for today fell a bit short, and I ended up coming into the office because my VPN token failed. But I am going to have to leave early to plow the driveway because temps are dropping and it will freeze solid tonight if i do not!

Agreed - especially since I just interviewed for a job that will have me split between hartford and charlotte!

At lunch I looked up weather forecasts to see when this unexpected storm will end, and I found this online (I drew in the stick figure - that's where I live ):

Lucky me, I live in one of the isolated 16-20" areas! I went out and measured and got an average of 15". I would guess that I've gotten another 1-2" since then, and am guessing I'll get another 2-3" more based on the radar models. Here's a pic from about an hour ago:

That grill is on a covered patio and the 25+mph winds have covered it with 6" of snow. The best part? See that chair on the deck that the wind tipped over onto the table? Yesterday - there was zero snow and it was sunny and 52 degrees. I was sitting in that chair enjoying a beer after work! 24 hours later it will be 15 degrees outside with 20" of snow.

About as crazy as a minivan that runs 11's

Latest weather looks like 15-20mph SW winds, which pretty much means direct headwinds at the track.
So I'm not very confident of having anything to write home about.

Got to try and prep anyway, at least for what i really want to test - getting a better launch, the wind shouldn't matter much in the first 60'.

Well, here's the update.
While driving to Fayetteville Dragway the winds were gusting on the highway. Checked weather and it has changed to say 35 mile per hour gusts. So turned around on the highway and headed home.
I'll try again next Sunday hopefully the weather will be better.
Disappointed but would rather wait until next weekend then go down this weekend and feel like I wasted my time.
The winds were going to directly head on going down the track. So decided to enjoy the afternoon with my wife...
Hopefully if I'm good, i'll be able to go next Sunday, which i happen to have off also.
Its a shame because i had found another 29.2 pounds of weight savings to try to help get the 0.02 seconds I'm looking for...

weather here is gorgeous as well. Approx 22 in the shade with beautiful large snowflakes falling. After shoveling 8" of snow, I too am considering taking off my shirt.

Can a mod/admin edit the title for reschedule 2/19/2017?

I know it is a bit early to count on the current forecast, but going to target 2/19/2017, as it looks like it may be around mid 70's.
Hopefully the weather stays nice this week. Not sure when i'll have another chance since there will be some goings on at work and April will be out due to planned maintenance.
And after this I'm going to have to start trying to get ready for SDAC.

Haven't heard back from the professional videographers yet. Hopefully one of them can make it. And if not, maybe i'll have a friend spectating and trying to catch some with a phone.

Ok, all loaded up and ready to head out tomorrow. Weather says mid 70's and winds 5-10.

I will have a videographer who offered to take some footage.
Hopefully everythjng works out and i can get a better launch.
I should have my shakedown pass posted by 1230...

You jinxed me Mike!
I had checked my headstud torque before leaving and forgot about a vaccuum line, so i only had 13psi boost. Wow did it feel sluggish. Ran my first 14.0 in a long time! Felt like i had tome to do laundry while going down the track...

I a couple days ago i had to modify my gvalve so i could set the boost a bit higher if i wanted. 25 psi was the max i could get before. I tried to bench set it, but still not sure where its at also. So i'll likely fight just to get to where i was last time out.
Not very hopeful anymore at this point...
