    risky shadow es

Got myself another shadow, its a 1989 2.5T1 auto with 93,000 Kilometers. I bought it sight unseen, these are the pictures from the ad. seller says it only needs a thermostat, I assume this is code for head gasket. hope its as good as it looks. I believe its this car http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f7/...turbo-4-a.html It comes with the same aftermarket wheels. arrives in three weeks.

Congrats on a great looking Shadow, the white paint looks super nice. The white 89 I own has been losing it's paint for years unfortunately.

Hopefully your car shows up in as nice of shape that it appears to be

    car looks clean!
I don't think it's the same car as the one you bought looks like it's wearing steel wheels not aftermarket rims. Either way looks great, would love to find a clean one around me

Shadows look good in white with all the spoilers and side skirts. Good luck with it.

It has those wheels with it as well, I was able to find the forsale ad on turbododge by searching for images of of 1989 shadows with google. even found it on street view in may 2015.

I had a white '89 Shadow ES just like that except 4-door. One of my favorite old cars ever until a drunk driver tried to park on it.

Car finally showed up last week, turned out great! got all the manuals a extra computer both sets of tires have lots of tread. starts right up and drives around, It been lowered as well. As for the bad, some rust is creeping out from the trim at the rockers in front of the rear wheel, very minor IMO. brake lines are leaking at the rear, one AC line is missing, cant get the china sub woofer to work and the hood light wire is broken. Didn't have much time to really look it over and we are in one crappy cold snap. but spring is around the corner I hope to change the lines asap and drive it around this spring.

oh never updated this, I drive this car when the roads are dry. had to do lots to make it nice. water pump, oil pan gasket, main seal front and rear, transaxle seals and filter, timing belt, valve cover gasket, 4 rotors, pads, 4calipars, copper nickel brakes lines, all 6 flex hoses.

it has a apexi boost controller, PLX wideband, TII intercooler, 3" exhaust but still a 2.5 downpipe.

Great looking Shadow. I wish mine was a pre-1990 model, the styling is way more subtle on the earlier ES's. It looks like a fun car.

Its nice at idle but im sick of it being loud. I plan to do 2.5" with a muffler next. the 3" just bangs and hits everything.
