Did the N/A GLH (like 84 110hp 2.2) get better valve springs than the regular carb models or the later TBI stuff?
just curious.

I do remember seeing in first edition FWD book about charting the changes that they increased spring pressure in 84 for N/A to 150 lbs. open and turbo received 175 lbs. open. This up from 83 "white" spring that was rated at 135 lbs. In 86, all 2.2's received 175 lbs. rated spring. Hope this info helps.
