    CAT for 88 CSX-T / dodge shadow turbo

    looking to replace the stock cat conv. as it is rattling

    what is available aftermarket?

    Hammer and long rod to knock the guts out. Chop saw either side at the weld. Insert new pipe and re weld where old welds were. Reinstall

    thanks for the input , I like bgbmxr suggestion as this was what I was thinking to do at first, although dont have a welder ...

    the magnaflow looks like just the cat, and will need to be welded in as well, I was thinking that it would be down pipe and cat together

    anybody know of a stock solution or the OEM part number

    Okay just looked up part #'s for you. Daytona and Shadow are same part #. It includes pipe with the 2 90°. For 88, 4301725 or they also list a "odorless" converter. That part # is 4427404. Perhaps that is a CA emission thing?
    Good luck, that will be a long shot searchin for a NOS converter after all these years.

    Monroe muffler will do things like this. Will also expand pipes for a few bucks also
