1987 Daytona T-II logic module question

As everyone knows 1987 T-II cars weren't available with factory cruise.

Same with the GLHT and GLHS

Was this due to electronics or something else, bracketry etc. around the intercooler hoses etc..

1987 and older Daytona T-I could have factory cruise

1988 and newer T-II cars running a SMEC could have factory cruise.

The 1988 T-II servo, mounting bracket etc all fits the 1987 car.

A guy wants to run a 1987 T-II LM and add factory cruise.

Is this possible?? I looked up the pinouts and the cruise spots were included.

Are the cruise drivers etc. even in the 1987 T-II LM??

    Any input is appreciated!!

    Thanks
    Randy

    Just try it.

I think it was just a packaging issue in 87 II.

Lots of TI boards came populated with TII hardware, I'm sure the "TII boards" had cruise control SMC on board.
