Throttle Position Sensor Trouble

I need to change my Throttle Position Sensor on my 85 laser t1 but the one i bought ( it says for 84 to 86 turbo) didnt fit .(it looks like the one below)
Everyone that i found for 85 laser t1 looks like this one[IMG]

But the one i took off the car looks like this

I didnt know if anyone had any input on this,if they changed the part number, ect
There is one that looks like it but it has a plug in instead of the wires like this one

If they bolt up, they should work electrically speaking. You just need to get the polarity correct between the two outside wires. In other words, one is ground and one is power, middle is output. If you have power and ground mixed up, it will try to rev like it's wide open. Iirc, .5v or so on the output is closed their
Throttle and 4.5v or so is wide open throttle. Hope that helps. Jeep Cherokee 91-95 TPS fits 2.5l throttle bodies (at least a 92 shadow, fwiw)

I can give it a shot.I am not sure if the one with the plug will fit i didnt buy it yet but i have to get something to work.I know the plug wire colors are different think its blue,gray and black so i just have to figure out the blue&gray ones.There is a 2.2 in the laser i have.

the bottom one is definitely for the newer manifold cars. If you need the wiring diagram pm me your email address. does yours have the 6 way connector?

I think its a 5 way.I remember 5 wires going into it.
