    91-95 Jeep SBEC tuning

Ok, so I have ventured into mptuner and Jeep sbec disassembly and got most of the tables put into a .tpl for mptuner. They load up and look nice but i was hoping someone with some more experience with Chrysler ECU's would take a look and see if I've got it all correct. At least mostly anyway. I've got ECE background so code isn't a problem for me to read, but there's a few questions I've got for someone familiar with the architecture of the ECM. It's not identical the turbo sbec code but does bear some similarities. I'm not ready to test it yet but I could make a bench test setup to verify the tunes.

I'll post what I've got tomorrow. I'm on my cell and not my laptop.

    Re: 91-95 Jeep SBEC tuning

ok, so here is what I have... I found ECM bins posted a while back by ShelGame which happen to match a couple ECMs I have. I will download and verify the bin prior to actually flashing it, but it gave me something to work with so far. Crud, realized this forum won't allow uploads and I have no web server space. PM me your email address and I can send a zip of the .mpt, .asm(original and modified [some annotation but not much]), & .bin.

Not certain if the code carries over to the 5.2 or not, probably similar though.

My intent in mapping this ecm is to enable it to handle a SC without having to get a split second or other system.. (as well for another Jeep when it gets stroked)

    Re: 91-95 Jeep SBEC tuning

here is what i can tell from the 3 bins you sent me

    1) 781 is a 94 4.0 6cyl man
    2) 436 is a 93 4.0 6cyl man
    3) 384 is a 92 4.0 6cyl man

actually i found the original bins that rob had posted up a couple years ago.

    Re: 91-95 Jeep SBEC tuning

just looked back at some cals i had worked on around 2012 and i actually had set up the 781 already for mptune. let me brush the dust off of it and compare it to the data from the 781 bin rob posted up in 2013 to see if i can further fill out some of the tables/data.

This thread is relevant to my interests, I have 5.2l '89 and a 5.2l '91 trucks. I'd be extremely interested if someone takes a look into the v8 code.

    Re: 91-95 Jeep SBEC tuning

I'm willing to look at it but not sure yet if I had mapped out the 781 bin correctly yet or not.. of course the motor isn't even installed in the wrangler yet so it may be a minute before I know if I got it right...

If you want to you could email me a copy of what you got and I'll compare it as well, seeing how we are probably getting a bunch of snow here in NC.
