Missed this thread. Like Randy said, the roof will accept 2 more braces. Makes them sound like Merc when you close the doors. What about seam welding the front end? Seen that done on one of the old Rally Omni's from back in the day. Also some braces triangulating in the strut towers to the firewall were there too. Evo8 style K frame brace bars front and rear could be fabbed up easily. Or/Also triangulating your strut tower bar to the firewall would help.

What's the lower air dam off of? Looks pretty good, not as aggressive as the S10 for the street or winter

I wish! Still have some good amount of work to get done. The big stuff is done, but there is much to button up before I get to turn the key!

I'll look into the roof bracing for sure. Never thought of that. My strut tower brace is made with two bars and inside the fenders I welded a bar from the A-pilar to the frame( post#1-7). I guess it acts like a kind of triangulating set-up as the strut bar to firewall. I can assure you it realy stiffend the front up.
The lower air dam came off a Volks golf. Although it is not that big, it did make a difference at high speeds. It's a pretty straight forward fit. I like the fact that it completes the fit on the side. No rubbing driving out of my driveway is a bonus.(have other plans for the dam....eventually)

Hi, take a look at my project log. And you can see the size of the rad. it is a 3" rad with the scirocco twin fan. Fits nice. Maybe have to relocate the top inlet.

Nothing is going to be a plug and play with our cars. The rad was purchase off the shelf but needed to be fitted with brackets and inlet relocated. It's an ago model

I went ahead and ordered a pass/pass I&O with no filler neck, made by AFCO. Kinda spendy at about $600. All in

Be sure to use their coolant additive if you aren't going to use antifreeze coolant. They like that if you have a warranty claim.

    Re: Red Baron

It's been a few months since my last update. Been working on it a little. I'm at the wiring stage now. Decided to send it out to get it done( Perfect tuning shop). I want it ready for spring. And I'm the biggest procrastinator.
I'm not sold on the final locations of the MS3 and relay board. But for now this is it.
