91 Shelby Daytona Swap To Omni 024?

I have an 81 omni 024 2.2 na/carbed auto i just picked up and found a 91 Daytona Shelby 2.5 turbo 5spd with 110k non inter-cooled.
Was wondering how hard of a swap it would be to do? i would be getting the whole daytona so id have all electrical etc.

Easy vs hard is perception. One mans 'simple' is rocket scince to another guy. You have the entire donor vehicle which is by far the best way to go. I laid in the harness, switches, HVAC, instruments, steering column EVERYTHING from the donor (Spirit RT in my case) into my Rampage. Time consuming but if you have the space, the tools and ther skills its an awesome conversion. There are at least three of those conversions in this thread including the world famous LeRampage that my Brother and I did years ago. well i know my way around cars and been doing it for as long as i can remember and the main thing i guess is the wiring i know how to solder and shrink wrap etc tho.
I can get the whole daytona for $600

Get it! Otherwise you will be sourcing out tons of little parts. Youll want that transmission too, that stock Omni trans wont hold up a week.

the trans is deff one thing i want no matter what not a fan of auto lol i'm going to tomorrow and try to talk to the guy on it.

If you're willing to solder and shrink wrap then you're 70% of the way there already. The wiring in these cars is not very complicated. If anything, the drivability issues caused by wiring in poor condition are WAY harder to deal with than wiring a car up in the first place. My .02.
