Mine does not have a handle it has a screw. The notch on the chip goes on the side with the screw.

This does assume that you've got the socket oriented in the proper direction. The pins are evenly spaced so you can install a socket in either direction depending on the model.

its notch towards handle it runs again! it quit last summer, wouldn't even turn over or prime the fuel pump.there was a melted plastic spade fuse an melted fuse base and we replaced the ignitionlock cy l.this fuse replaced a fusible link years ago
