    Wheel size

What size wheels are people running?
I am struggling to find wheels to fit the race car.
The blue car has 16x7 , but there are virtually no racing slicks in that diameter.
Anyone using 17" , if so please post pictures , and experience with rubbing, etc.
    Thanks

    Re: Wheel size

I need more clearance because of the big brake kit. So that's why I am trying to find out about other wheel sizes.

No racing slicks for 16x7? What tire size are you needing because that just sounds fishy considering all the cars that used sizes in that range over the years that still are out there racing in classes that need stock sized tires.

    i think im runing a 75inch circ with the 225/5015 r7's

hoosier 46601 72"circ or 46611 77"circ for a 16inch wheel might work the latter might rub some on some tracks (road atlanta)

    or 46711 78" circ for a 17inch wheel.

these are dot slicks so they arnt quite as good as a full slick, but unless your racing for money/sponsors i wouldnt bother with a full slicks. the slicks might be junk after one race but the r7's will last you a couple weekends.

Yeah. I agree Jacob. In 16" -Toyo only makes the proxes888, and Hoosier is not making anything. Bf Goodrich has 1 dot track tire.
    So not a lot.

    Re: Wheel size

I am currently running 17x7.5 with Nitto - 215/45R17 91Z on both the Shadow and Daytona. I have a little scrubbing at full lock. Not enough to do any damage. Will look for pictures when I get home.
