Great welds, the color on them is so sexy Good penetration, those will never crack. BTW if those are repro valve covers they are 10X better than they were years ago! If they are original well then

Thanks I'm alright at welding, but I had to call my dad in to do those welds, wasn't comfortable enough doing them myself and oh those covers are real!

Well I was going to post this sooner, but it's alive! now just needs exhaust and some finishing up of vacuum lines, then it'll be break in time.

Starting on the downpipe tomorrow, I've been collecting some nice stainless 3" bends and straight pieces for it.

Another round of nice welding I may have missed it but what are you doing with you external gate, gonna plumb it back in downstream like this or just let it vent to atmosphere? This one is on the Rampage RT it's reasonably quiet, on the red GLHS it's to atmosphere and really noisy. Like jet engine loud. Kind of annoying, Good thing I haven't driven that car in years

I was thinking about dumping it to atmosphere under the car for the most part, but if it gets too annoying I can always feed it into into the downpipe. I've seen people go through the hood and that's something I'd never do on a street car lol.

It's lots of fun, I've been behaving myself 90% of the time driving it.

Just be safe and smart... that 10% the rest of the time could turn costly!

It definitely could become costly, but since it's cold and snowy I've just been enjoying the car driving it nice.

Re: Spirit R/T Fixing My Mistakes

Figured I'd do a little update to what is going on the car and how it's been running. Well the car spun a rod bearing which took out the crank and the rest of the bearings. Now the cause was a mistake that i did by not putting the head restrictor back in the block before I installed the head. So it basically starved the bottom end of oil causing that bearing to spin.

    Number 4 rod bearing.

Now I've decided to go a different route with the car, I don't feel like getting the crank turned down anymore. So i have a 150k mile 2.5 T1 crank in perfect condition that I've decided to use. I bought some Srt-4 BC rods rated for 750hp and some custom forged Wiseco 2.5 pistons for this new engine. Now just to get the car back together and bugs worked out before SDAC 27.

I like your style; if ya blow it up, go bigger. What are you going to do for a calibration?

I have a boostbutton flashable sbec and I basically taught myself how to tune. So it shouldn't be bad, just throw more fuel in and see where it's happy with timing.
