Local junkyard has an 88 Turbo LeBaron with SMEC. I can call and get a price if you're interested.

Turbo minivan harness is the easiest to convert an L body to SMEC. Probably the hardest to find...

    Re: Smec

I'd have to disagree about the turbo Caravan/Voyager harness being an easy fit into an early L-body such as an '85 GLH. I did it on my '85 GLH H.O., and then transferred it to an '86 GLH Turbo. For starters the bulkhead plug on the firewall doesn't match, which is the biggest obstacle. Then the headlights and turn signals are all wrong. The harness is *really* bulky for an L-body, and you have to relocate all the relays which are mounted on a long bar on the vans. The TPS/AIS wiring had to be shortened a lot. Even the windshield wiper motor connector was different. It was a lot of work, but it did work well; I'll give it that.

If you're bent on going SMEC, you might as well just use about anything you can find since the Super 60 harness isn't realistically available any longer. I once made a TII/SMEC harness out of an '88 Horizon TBI harness. If I had to do it again, I would do that. It was a bit more work, but worth it for something that fits like a glove.
